Torn Ribbon Wrapped Frame
 
1.) Open a new image 500 x 500
 
2.) Grab your Preset shape tool square.
 
4.) Grab either filters unlimited or eyecandy 4000 wood..
Be creative.. make  it some sort of texture..
 
5.) Now grab your magic wand and select your frame..
 
6.) Go to select / Inverse
 
7.) Open Filters Unlimted 2.0 with these settings..
 
 
8.) Now you will need to cutout the middle of your Frame..
So grab your Square select tool and and select the middle
Then go to Edit / Cut
 
9) Now Open a ribbon..
 
10.) if its full size you will need to resize it to your liking..
i usually resize mine by 20  percent or so.. just depends how thick you
want your ribbon to be..
 
11.) Once its resized..  Click and drag your ribbon to your Frame image
 
12.) Now go to edit/transform/rotate.. Or in psp go to image/rotate
til you get an angle something like this..
 
13.) Now duplicate your ribbon  layer like 3 or 4 times..
should be something like below
 
 
14.) now go to your frame layer grab your magic wand and select.
 
15.) Now go to select/ modify/ contract 3
 
16.) now hide your frame layer and click on one of your
ribbon layers , right click merge visible
 
17.) now with your ribbon layer selected go to edit cut
 
18.) now go back to your frame layer.. click the inside of the frame this time
with your magic wand..
 
19.) go to select/modify/ contract 3 again
 
20.) go back to your ribbon layer
 
21.) Go to edit and cut again
 
22.) Add a lil drop shadow to your ribbon layer..
 
23.) Now we can do this next step two ways your choice..
 
a.) Grab your burn tool and burn the edges of the ribbon
 
b.) Or grab your poly select and select the edges making a circle
and go to Select/feather 12 and then to image/adjust brightness/contrast
