How to Create a Satin Ribbon
 
For this tut I have used 600 x 50--  For your scrap Ribbons should be the size of your paper usually 3600x125 pixels for a 12 x 12 paper..
 
Okay now Open Up your File 600 x 50
 
Flood Fill with your color of Choice.
 
Now Comes the really fun part..
 
We get to see how cool the DODGE & BURN tools can be!!
 
Settings for Burn  tool are   Size -16  Opacity 37 stroke continuous

Okay now your ready to burn!! So start burning on an angle don't worry if it looks terrible.. Its supposed to.. Have fun..
 
Here is what it should look like roughly your lines might look differently than mine!! LOL..

Now for the dodge tool..    Here are your settings.

And here is what it should look like roughly...LOL.. The idea here is to Highlight the dodge.. I think anyhow..LOL

Now time to SMUDGE and make a big ole mess...LOL.. Don't worry this will look like something resembling satin soon!!
 
Ahh the smudge settings

Here is what it looks like after its been smudged.. The goal is to make it like folds and move it up

Okay Now time to add some noise..

Phew we are almost done..  Now last step.. Add a lil Glaussen Blur
