What you will need PSP or PHOTOSHOP..

Unlimited Filters 2.0 

(psp users you will have to pick your own settings for bevel.. )

 

1.) First open a new image 500 x 500

 

2.) Grab a frame Preset shape..

I think the one i Used is standard..

You might have to load new Preset

Shapes..

 

3.) Go to Filters Unlimited use these settings..

 

 

3.) Now we need to add a bevel...i used these settings

 

4.) Okay now open up your ribbon... if its standard size you will need to resize it..

I resized mine by 40% 

 

5.) now click and drag your ribbon to your frame. No need to copy n paste..

(love that trick)

 

6.) Now go to Edit Transform/rotate.. and rotate like so..

 

7.) Now go to your frame layer and grab your magic wand and select your frame..

 

8.)No go back to select / modify / contract /3

 

9 ) Now go back to your ribbon layer.. and go to edit / cut

 

 

10.) Now go and grab your burn tool.. You remember that from our

silk ribbons right? Hope so..LOL

 

Here are the settings I Used

 

11.) Now burn the ends of your ribbon this makes it look as if

its wrapped around..

 

12.) Okay now you want to add a slight drop shadow on your

ribbon layer.. ill let you choose your own settings..

 

13.) this next step is optional but really neat..

Grab your lasso tool

 

14.) Now we are going to make our ribbon look likes its not

so tightly wrapped , kinda makes it look more real relaxed..

 

15.) make a circle somewhere on your ribbon..

 

16.) Go to Select Feather/12

 

17.) now go to Image/adjust/brightness/contrast...

i used -16 brightness..

 

18. Now just on the other side of that spot you worked on we want

to add more brightness we went dark now we need to go light

 

19.) Go back and select the other side same a cirlce.. end to end like the previous picture

 

20.) No go to select / feather/ 12 again

 

21.) Now go back to image/ adjust/ brightness/contrast

this time use  16 brightness

 

22.) just keep playing around doing this..

Select area/ Feather/ Brightness / contrast up and down..

 

This step is fun .. you can go darker or lighter depending on your taste ..

just DONT FORGET the feather or it will look terrible..LOL
